I sit in my room,

More Poetry and Writings
surrounded by my beloved darkness.
The only light I see is moonlight.
I scowl at the shadows,
that creep across my walls,
tearing away at my room.
The shadows beckon me,
they beckon me to join them on the dark side.
I only sneer,
for I have joined the dark side long ago.
My soul has long been lost.
Forgotten after given away to the better parts of life.
Ha, better parts of life,
There aren't any.
I no longer choose that path.
Now I walk alone,
down the stairway to hell.
I know right where I'm bringing myself.
Do the darkest depths of hell.
I continue my journey,
walking down the same flight of stairs,
that I have been walking for 13 years.
Each step I go,
the more intense the heat gets.
I know I can always turn,
And walk back up the stairs,
be happy and re-meet my old self,
but I know,
that where I belong,
Is in the lonely darkness of my room.
